Welcome to the Cambridge Green Belt Project and City Greenways Project. We are a long established Project working with local communities in Cambridge and the surrounding area to conserve and enhance some of the areas most important wildlife habitats. The Projects aim to:
We work with local communities by offering habitat management advice, funding advice and most importantly a chance to participate in habitat management and learn new practical skills through our Mid-week volunteer teams. Volunteers are essential to the work we do and help us to put our ideas into action.
The Cambridge Green Belt Project works in the designated Green Belt, which extends to approximately a six-mile radius from the City. Click here to see a map of the Project area. These two projects are part of the highly successful Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northants and Peterborough. We are supported by Cambridgeshire County Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge City Council.
