Description: Enjoy an opportunity to learn about Britain's fastest declining mammal and skills used in monitoring and identifying the water vole. Participants will be encouraged to become involved in the water vole monitoring programme across the Cambridge Green Belt area giving them a chance to put their skills to the test.

Event: Creepy crawlies, clearwings and butterflies on Devil's Dyke and
Fleam Dyke

Description: We will be looking for and recording butterflies and other
invertebrates found on the two sites during the day. We will use
pheremones to try to attract clearwing moths, pitfall traps and sweep
netting to capture and record the insects found across the sites. A
chance to learn new skills, find out about these two important chalk
grassland sites and contribute to species recording. .

Description: Enjoy an opportunity to learn about Britain's largest mammal and skills used in monitoring and identifying the water shrew. Participants will then be given tubes and castors so that they can become involved in the survey in their local patch giving them a chance to put their skills to the test.

Event: Moth trapping and Bat watching

Description: Enjoy an opportunity to learn more about the moths and bats of the Cambridge area at this delightful location on the banks of the River Cam. There will be an opportunity to learn about moth trapping techniques in the evening and view moths as they are caught. Bats will be heard using bat detectors and will hopefully be seen feeding over the river. Please bring a torch for the evening event. Don't worry if you cannot make it to the evening event, moths caught overnight will be available to view next morning, before being released.

Event: Bat Detectives!

Description: An opportunity for an unusual walk around the village of
Rampton listening for bats! Join local bat experts to see if we can see
bats in the church and then walk around the village with bat detectors
to listen in on this secretive and elusive creature that usually goes
unnoticed. There will be an opportunity to learn more about the
different species of bat and the different habitats they occupy. Please bring a torch.
